Client Overview
Dynamo Gymnastics runs competitive and recreational gymnastics in Cambridge, Ontario, in the Waterloo area. At the time of the video, it had been in business for about nine years, with about 160 competitive athletes and about 1,000 to 1,200 recreational gymnasts coming through every week. In the project video below, Chris Moors of Dynamo Gymnastic Sports Centre talks about the old lighting, the switch to LED and what it changed for the gym.
The Challenge
Dynamo's building was relatively new, and it originally had T5HO lighting, which at the time was energy-efficient lighting.
T5 Fixtures Installed Seven Years Prior

Chris says Dynamo saw about a 50 percent savings in electricity from moving to the LED lighting.

The Whole Facility Lit Up
When people came in afterwards and saw the light, “their jaws hit the ground.” In Chris's words, “it just lit up the whole facility.”
