The Unisync Group is Canada’s largest corporate apparel distributor and a full project management company, working with the largest national brands across the country. They were looking for cost savings, wanted to provide a more productive environment for their employees, and wanted to stay ahead of green trends in the industry.

Retail Automotive
The goal of this project was to change the retail area to LED in order to brighten the space for employees and customers, save on electricity bills, and eliminate the costs of replacing ballasts. The installation cut their monthly electricity bills in half and virtually eliminated maintenance costs for their lighting. Over a three year period, there were no failures of ballasts and the colour of the lights remained consistent.

Retail Hardware
Patty Smith, the owner at Home Hardware Elora, chose to switch to LED because she couldn’t stand looking at her outrageous hydro bills. She also wanted to reduce her environmental footprint. She chose to work with Think LED because she was confident in our product lines, and, when she looked at the savings, she realized it would be crazy not to move forward with the project.

Pharmaceutical - Laboratory
Jamieson Laboratories needed precision for their production facilities — they needed to be able to see what they were doing in minute detail and their old lighting system was not delivering. Their existing warehouse lighting exhibited a yellow haze from the T5s and T8s, and their team was constantly replacing burnt-out bulbs.

Residential - Retirement Home
The management met with Think LED to discuss an LED retrofit as a way of reducing their monthly costs. The new LED panels created a much more natural light, like walking outside. Residents commented that the new lighting made everyday activities, such as reading newspapers or playing bingo, much easier — especially for those with visual impairments. The brightness was also helpful to the staff, who were able to maintain their energy levels throughout the day.

Sports - Golf Club
Cutten Fields Golf Club in Guelph requested a proposal for an LED project in 2013 as a way to reduce costs for the club and improve the environment for both staff and members. The club administration was looking to switch from fluorescent lighting to LED tubes and move to light without the yellow hue. After the transition, both members and staff noticed a huge, positive difference. The LED lights created a brighter, warmer environment and made a big impact on people experiencing the lighting for the first time.

City Office - LifeLearn
For LifeLearn, being a responsible organization was important. They wanted to upgrade to a modern, high-quality lighting system that would provide a better employee experience and reduce their environmental impact. The new LED lighting from Think was able to resolve employee headaches and migraine concerns and improve employee efficiency as a result. The new system virtually eliminated maintenance and provided mercury-free lights, which were not harmful to the environment — in contrast to their old fluorescent lights, which were often breaking on a weekly basis.
