When Kruger Packaging, an industry leader recognized for its exceptional corrugated paper products, set out to do a complete upgrade of the lighting in their 300,000 square-foot plant and offices in Brampton, Ontario, they chose innovative product and industry-leading advice from Think Green Solutions® to ensure the job was done right.
“By 2021, it had been about ten years since the last time we’d looked at the potential for cost savings with our lighting, so we figured we were due for a change,” said Jeff Haworth, general manager at the facility. “In the end, we changed out just about every light bulb in the building.”
Over 400 of our HB2 series high bay luminaires were installed, along with more than 300 of our edge-lit 2x4 ceiling panels, plus dozens of motion sensors and dimmers, improving the lighting environment and optimizing energy-efficiency gains throughout the building.

Haworth said. These savings are significant – nearly a 50% reduction, providing the company with a projected payback period under two years.
“We hadn’t really heard our employees complaining about the lighting before, but once the changes had been made, they liked it. So now, we have better, brighter lighting; we’re saving thousands of dollars a month on electricity bills, and we’re helping the environment in the mix – everyone is happy.”
